The UVB 10.0 range of fluorescent tubes have very high output similar to desert environments, which receive most direct sunlight. Reptiles living in desert locations need more UVB radiation than any other type of reptile. UVB radiation is important to promote calcium metabolism to ensure healthy reptiles. These high output tubes can also be used on vivariums with metal screens where upto 50% of the UVB can be filtered out. The tubes also produce UVA light which stimulates appetite, activity and reproductive behaviour. Effective up to 50cm (20″) away. Length 12″ x 1″ diameter (T8), 10W power.
