This lamp is suitable for all amphibians including frogs, toads, salamanders and nocturnal animals.
Fluorescent lamps lose their UV radiation and approximately 50% of their lighting output quality within one year.
Changing your terrarium lamp regularly ensures optimal light conditions and UV radiation to keep your reptiles healthy.
It is recommended to combine a high UVB output (5.0 UVB and 10.0 UVB) with a very high visual light output (2.0 UVB) for optimal results.
Fluorescent lamps do not provide sufficient heat for your animal by themselves.
A separate heat source is required in addition (eg: incandescent basking lamp).
A regular screw fitting is sufficient to operate these lamps.
